13th Annual Artists’ Soapbox Derby - 2007

This year’s 13th Annual Artists’ Soapbox Derby was a great success. There were over 8,000 spectators cheering 42 entries down Broadway hill to the Rondout. Over $2,000 in cash prizes were given away as well as gift certificates donated by local business. Here are the results:           

First Place Adult – “The Stealth” piloted by Chris Duff , sponsored by Dino Marello (Ultimate Creations)

Second Place Adult – “Over The Top” by Chris Mills, Mike Cashen, Brian Williams & Brian Beatty

Third Place Adult – “Survivor-The Rondout” by Michael Lalicki

 

First Place Youth – “The Good Old Days” by Jessie Reimer, Rachel Reimer, Lydia Bjorkman and Casey Hall

Second Place Youth – “Horizon” by Eamonn and Gabe Thomas

Third Place Youth – “Map Mobile” by Ethan Burwell

 

First Place Youth Family Group – “Highboy”  by Eric and Lars Lilland

Second Place Youth Family Group – “The Cat is Back”  by Andrew, Jakob and Seth Kehr

Third Place Youth Family Group – “The Model T” by Paul and Julianna Maczaj

 

Rondout Reject – “Got Blood” by Carl Linich and Margaret Crenson

Mayor’s Cup Award – Kingston Mayor James Sottile by default
